Philosophy of Education

“Teaching God’s Word, the guideline for all truth” 2 Timothy 3:16

The educational philosophy of Indian Creek Christian School is to provide students a quality Christ-centered education and opportunities for the development of Christ-like character.

  • Education is focused on truth, of which God is the ultimate source. All treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in Him (2 Timothy 2:19, Colossians 2:3). All curriculum and educational activities delivered to students are biblically sound as the Bible provides guidelines and principles for our lives spiritually, personally, and educationally.

  • All staff personnel and volunteers are personally committed to Jesus Christ, integrate Biblical truth and present Christlike principles through their interactions with students. A child brought up through Christian education opens the door for spiritual knowledge, personal growth and equips students with the skills they need to succeed with their educational and spiritual growth goals (Article XII BFM 2000)

  • A supportive partnership between the family, church and school is essential to a successful Christian education. We will strive to support families in fulfilling God’s command of leading children to a saving knowledge of and continual growth in our Lord Jesus Christ (Genesis 1:1, Colossians 1:12). Indian Creek Christian School is an extension of the educational process of the home.

  • Consideration towards the variety of learning styles and multiple intelligences that students may possess is reflected in the instructional teachings of all classrooms. Grace is seen and felt so students are not fearful in risk-taking and there is an understanding of consequences for negative behaviors designed to help students grow and develop (Proverbs 22:6).
